Aprilia Tuono V4 is the hyper-naked sports bike that has always been known
as the bike that best combines dynamic performance and usability on the
road in a single entity. After all, its technical base starts directly from its sister
RSV4, but optimized and designed to be more versatile. A combination to
offer maximum performance on the track without sacrificing rideability on the
road.
This new generation strengthens this unmistakable soul with the update to
E5+.
The displacement grows from the previous 1,077 cc to 1,099 cc, offering an
all-time record power for the Tuono, reaching 180 HP at 11,800 rpm.
An even more aggressive style with aerodynamic appendages that improve
downforce and optimize air flow, to the advantage of both performance and
thermal and riding comfort.
There is also the possibility to customize the complete a-PRC electronics
package with a series of accessory upgrades based on your needs, so you
can completely adapt this powerful new interpretation of the Tuono V4 to
your riding style.
The same philosophy was followed on the Tuono V4,
focusing on performance, rider protection and thermal
efficiency.
The front wing increases the load on the front, while the
new windshield, that in this generation starts from the
central element of the suggestive Aprilia triple headlight
and extends onto the instrumentation, has been studied in
minute detail to reduce turbulence on the rider's torso to a
minimum.
The external side of the Tuono V4 also features a new
nolder on the trailing edge to divert air flows away from the
rider, aided by the new extractor that optimises the
direction of the hot air coming from the radiator.
Also new are the oversized radiator fans that optimise
cooling and the redesigned grill that protects against any
invasive elements. The thermal advantage perceived by the
rider when stopping and at low speed is particularly
appreciable.
Also on Tuono important news are coming, the powerful V4 is updated
by increasing the displacement from 1,077 to 1,099 cc and switching
to a bore and stroke of 81 x 53.32 respectively. The 52 mm throttle
bodies and the adoption of the upper crankcase and crankshaft of the
RSV4 are new.
This evolution, in addition to confirming the very close relationship of
the Tuono with its sporty sister (always the pride of this family), allows
this generation to become the most powerful Tuono flagship ever built
with a maximum power of 180 HP at 11,800 rpm, while the torque
stands at 121 Nm at 9,650 rpm.
The superquadro configuration does not lie about the nature of the
heart of this hyper-naked and does not try to hide its racing pedigree,
despite having been optimized by the technicians of Noale to be
exploited to the maximum on winding roads. New cooling fans and
optimised air flows significantly increase the thermal comfort perceived
by the rider, also helping to keep the temperatures of the V4 lower
and within the optimal range of engine use, increasing its efficiency
and effectiveness.
